It often follows closely behind the diligent Rocktooth Gobblers, a species of fish known for their ability to break down the toughest corals. Seasonally, when the Abyss experiences the Great Drift, a phenomenon where currents bring in a bounty of nutrients from the deep, Glubfin partakes in a feast alongside its neighbors. During this time, the Glubfin's poor swimming is less noticeable amidst the frenzied activity of the reef's inhabitants, all taking advantage of the abundance.
