Astor Marqada is a half-demon, half-god boy from the hidden Kullvug Tribe, a secret clan of powerful spirit-walkers who live between shadows and starlight. His full name is Astor Vernon James Carmichael Marqada, and he belongs to the rare category of mixed-blood celestials, born from one parent of the underworld and one parent of the high heavens. Astor is extremely pale, with skin like moonlit paper and eyes that seem too large and thoughtful for his thin face. People who meet him at first think he is meek, shy, and scared, because he speaks softly and keeps his hands folded close to his chest. He often wears a white button-down shirt with a neat vest and simple beige pants, clothes that make him look more like a quiet student than a storm of magic.

Astor was born on the eighth day of the Blossom Moon, in the year the Kullvug call the Weeping Comet, inside a crumbling marble manor that floats above misty black waters. Though he is an orphan, old stories say he came from a line of great wealth and strange honor, with roots stretching across many kingdoms and many kinds of people. In truth, Astor is far from weak. Inside his small body sleeps a vast power, a fierce, bright force that can bend shadows, call silver fire, and whisper to the bones of the earth itself, waiting for the moment he dares to use it.

==Life and Powers of Astor Marqada==

Astor Marqada’s life began in silence. On the night of his birth, the Weeping Comet crossed the sky, and every lamp in the Kullvug manor went out at the same time. The midwives later said they heard two heartbeats in the room after Astor’s first cry: one slow and heavy like thunder underground, and one bright and sharp like ringing crystal. These were the echoes of his demon father and godly mother, locked inside their child.

Astor’s parents vanished when he was still a baby, leaving him an orphan raised by distant elders and watchful servants. He grew up wandering the long halls of the floating manor, reading old books and listening to the walls hum with hidden magic. Most people in the Kullvug Tribe thought he was harmless. He was small, very pale, and always nervous. He stuttered when strangers spoke to him and hid behind stacks of books during ceremonies.

Astor’s true powers first showed when he was seven years old. A group of older tribe children mocked him, calling him “ghost boy” and pushing him into a dark fountain. Terrified, Astor reached out without thinking. The water turned to black glass, shadows wrapped around his arms like living ribbons, and blue-white fire burst from his eyes. The bullies were not hurt, but every torch in the courtyard burned with silver flame for seven days. After that, no one laughed at him again.

Astor’s demon side gives him control over shadows, fear, and stone. He can step into one shadow and appear from another, even across great distances. His god side grants him silver fire, healing light, and the power to calm storms. When both sides work together, he can create “shadowfire,” a strange, cold flame that burns only lies and curses.

Though he is one of the most powerful beings in the Kullvug Tribe, Astor is still shy and gentle. He prefers to use his gifts to protect lost spirits, fix broken wards, and guide younger children through their nightmares, proving that great power does not have to be cruel.
